Story
The Garvey sisters are bound together by their parents’ deaths and a promise to always protect each other… Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan. Eve Hewson (Becka) is the daughter of U2’s Bono.

Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson. Bad Sisters is brilliantly executed in every detail, starting with its incredibly good script. But it’s also technically excellent, with great sound and cinematography, coupled with some really good locations.
So we all end up conflicted – great!
The ensemble is amazing, clearly having a really good time with their material and providing plenty of laugh out loud fun, but quite capable of the necessary pathos necessary for a show of this nature. Bad Sisters is a true black comedy in every sense of the word – but a sympathetic one – with a rich vein of Irish humor bubbling to the surface and making us invest in the sisterhood. So even though the girls are up to no good, there’s always that question hanging there – ‘but are they really?’ – because we identify with their plight and the judgments they make.
I’m rooting for the sisters!
If you’re an overly sensitive man, i.e. you don’t like it when the worst traits of male behavior are exposed and compensated accordingly, … then you really need to watch this show and desensitize yourself, it will do you good and offer you a glimpse into how everyone else has been left behind by selfish male snarls.
