Story
The Garvey siblings are bound together by their parents’ deaths and a promise to always protect each other. Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan.

What a nasty piece of work is brother-in-law John Paul (a very effective performance from Claes Bang). There’s always one of those nasty, awful guys in the family.

So watching the siblings plot and act out Jean Paul’s death is a pleasure in the most macabre way! The magic is in the relationship between the siblings, which feels so real, the way they look at each other and bounce off each other.

An added bonus are the confusing insurance stepbrothers who add to the entertainment value as they try to crack the mysterious case. I haven’t seen the Belgian version, but this British remake looks like it can hold its own, thanks to the performances, playful direction and a script that has so much to offer after the first two episodes, enough to get you hooked on this dark comedy thriller.
