Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads to them becoming lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same one Chewbacca’s family sees in the infamous “Star Wars Holiday Special” (1978). in AniMats Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). Knowing that this series is in for a lot of hate due to the ups and downs of the past Star Wars series, I’m happy to say that this is an uptick. So far… The first two episodes don’t break any new ground, nor are they particularly original, but that doesn’t matter as everything is well executed. The cast and their acting are great, the costumes and set design are probably the best we’ve seen since “Andor”, the script, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new, but it’s still fascinating and I’m excited to keep watching. It gives me strong Treasure Planet vibes. As someone who wasn’t that keen on the more recent Star Wars films, I was surprised by Skeleton Crew. I really hope anyone who is even slightly interested, or even annoyed by the recent shows, gives it a chance. Don’t let the “for kids” label put you off. Talk will scare you away. Star Wars is for everyone, and that’s true here too.
